Whenever you write a new line of code, you also potentially add new bugs. That's especially (and painfully) true when you're simultaneously working as a team on several different projects.
We treat our Software Tester as a watchful investigator whose efforts are crucial in delivering better and more reliable websites and web applications, which we are specializing in.
We work in a structure called tribes. Every tribe consists of a few developers, QA, Technical Leader, Project Manager, and HR Partner. Each tribe works on around 5-7 projects at the same time. You would join one of such tribes, but at the same time QA team is also a kind of separate entity - which means that QAs have one leader, and they also cooperate together to support and learn from each other. We currently have two people in the QA team, and we are looking for one more person to join us.
We mostly test manually, but in the near future, we plan to prepare test cases and implement automation tests for all clients' projects.
